Is Twitter Ruining your life too?
It was bound to happen sooner or later. Twitter invaded my personal life.
As you know if you have been following along. I love social networking websites. If you are building a business online, they are essential tools which MUST be a part of your daily work plan. But none of them have ever come this close to home.
Let me tell you what happened.
The other morning as I was slipping up from the depths of slumber, my wife asked me to check on our two year old. Apparently, he had been calling out, maybe yelling at his brother. To be honest, I don’t know what he was doing because when I am under, I sleep like a rock at the bottom of a deep lake.
All I know is my wife wanted me to actually get up, and go see what he was doing. I was in the land of half dreams when I answered her, “it’s fine, he’s not tweeting anymore.”
She incredulously asked, “what?!?!”
To which I responded, “I am following him, and he hasn’t tweeted.”

True story - on my honor. The real question is, am I in some sort of psychological danger or do I just need to learn to manage my time better?

This is great, mostly because I know what you mean. The kids are old enough to get up on their own now, but it’s rumored that in my sleep-deprived haze I was shouting “block theclock” as the alarm shrieked.
I think it’s just a rumor, but still.
that is so funny!
HAHA That is totally great. Bet your wife didn’t know her 2 year old was a little bird(tweeting and all).
I must say twitter is addictive but it definitely isn’t life ruining - in fact in 15 days I’ve been able to use twitter + hard work to go from 0 hits to 600 per day, and my alexa rank for yesterday was like 47,000 ( up from 2,000,000 3 weeks ago… I absolutely love twitter.
I thought that just happened when you had grandkids! The only other thought I had, dear boy, was: What was he tweeting before he stopped?
Why Twitter? I believe all the social sites are same. They keep us hooked to them and where time runs out, we don’t know. We tend to dream about them also.
Your story is funny!!
Quite the amusing tale! I haven’t dreamt about Twitter… yet. But I’ve forgotten to turn off mobile updates and been woken up by late night/early morning tweeters.
My wife was not amused.
That’s too funny! Sounds like you have caught the twitter bug! I always look forward to thwirl updating me when I come back to my computer. My twitter is http://twitter.com/justinrains if you or anyone would like to see what I’m up to.
