Did you remember the Milk – Managing tasks online
14 July, 2009, 7:32 am
So let’s talk a little bit about remember the milk. This is one of the many ways to manage your to do list and make your life a little bit easier. Remember the Milk is great if you have an iphone. It’s one of those great apps that you can put on your iphone and while you are out, it will remind you to …well… get the milk.

Pros:
RTM, As its affectionately called by those who use it has several great features.
- RTM lets you easily add tasks and then receive reminders either by text message, Instant message or email. If you have a good data plan with your phone service this is great!
- You can add tasks to any number of categories, or lists as RTM calls them.
- A handy Search Feature so you can try to figure out when the heck you are supposed to fill out the TPS report. (that’s RTM’s sense of humor, not mine), and if you don’t know what a TPS report is, you should dance a jig and then watch Office Space.
- Because RTM is “in the Cloud” you can access it from anywhere, laptop, home, office, cell, whatever – and no need to sync!
RTM is a great app that is handy for managing your todo list. If you are on the go a lot, then it’s one of the best. We will also explore some others that work well in the cloud, but RTM is a good one.
Plus its really fun to use, what with the Cow logo and all. Check it out right away and see if it works for you. Or wait till tomorrow when we will address my personal favorite. Todoist.
- Finally getting settled
- hitask is Sexy, but maybe a little bit Shallow.
- Change is reality
- Using Todoist Correctly
- How Do You Manage your Time
Looking forward to that! I’ve been using RTM for almost a year, and I like it. But there are some functionality issues that I’m looking to see get added as later features, or I’m migrating to Todoist or Toodledo. I’ve been reading David Allen’s Getting Things Done and liking his philosophy on this stuff.
All of these seem like good apps, so I’m interested to hear more of your thoughts Jared!
I’m going to have to check it out! I see they have an iPhone app for the paid users. I just got my iPhone and could use something like that.
